Fitzroy Pinnock, proprietor of Top Boss since 1996 has had a passion for cars for as long as he can remember. For over thirty years the magical magician has made the impossible, possible and has astonished many with his work. The pure detail and imagination that is put into the work of Fitz enables him to create one-off designs for any vehicle from engine work to exhausts and manifolds. Fitz has built up a large clientele of loyal and dedicated enthusiasts many of whom have become personal friends.

Top Boss Performance opened it's doors in November 1996 specialising in 24V engine conversions with modifications uniquely designed to dynamically transform any type of engine.

Having, a year earlier, dropped in a 24 valve Cosworth V6 into a Ford Sierra and being blown away with the blistering performance, Top Boss knew they were onto something special.

They started off by taking things back to basics, enamoured with the 24 valve V6 and convinced of it’s potential they bought a job lot and striped them, skimmed rings, reinforced pistons, bored it out, re-built it and then sat back to see what happened…

Before the first week was out they’d blown up six engines in as many days, just to see what they could handle.

Fitz knows this engine inside out and has put it in everything from RS Sierra Cosworths to Capris, Westfields, Mk 1 Escorts and even a Triumph Stag!

Although specialists in their field they’re far from limited to it. They're proud of the extensive range of work they do, not only engine conversions but also custom interiors, body modifications and classic rebuilds and restoration projects.
Top Boss can even fabricate a range of specially engineered parts, from tubular manifolds to silicon hoses.

The staff have backgrounds in specialist engineering, custom builds and vintage work, as well as proving themselves in the major automotive industry including Ford engineering.
